St Edward's Green Street VE Day

On Thursday the 8th of May, Year 5 Children from St Edward’s participated in a VE party at Green Street Library for local residents. The children sang the classic Vera Lynn WW2 song ‘We’ll Meet Again.’ There was also a rendition of ‘Let There be Peace on Earth’ and a special composition for the Royal British Legion ‘I’ll Remember.’ Later on in the day, the children sang these songs in school for a commemorative VE day assembly.

Olive Dining provided a delicious picnic lunch for all the children which they enjoyed in the sunshine outside in the playground. It was a non-uniform day and the children wore red, white and blue clothes.
